Started Bikram Yoga practice yesterday.  Room was 105 F, lots of stretching and balance poses.  Plan is to practice for a month and compare progress.  Felt terrific afterwards, but later eyes burned somewhat, maybe it was the sweat that poured down my face.  The shower afterwards was nice.

Now that holidays are past, I will watch diet plan more and eat healthy and have no snacks in the evening after supper meal.

Sunday was Yoga X2 from P90x2.  Felt  like Power Yoga, mostly standing poses after a few SS very slowly.  Full split not quite there yet.  Bakasana OK, but have soreness in right forearm muscle from doing too many flow sequences from bakasana to tripod headstands.

A good foam roller is the best tool for helping the body recover from tightness and injury.

X2 arrived this afternoon.  Opened package, took measurements, did fit test Monday again and pushed play day 1 X2 Core.....Sweaty, challenging less than an hour.  Excellent program is 90 days.  Phase 1 one month, push play 5 days per week.  may extend phases 3-6 weeks.  Week 4 is usually recovery.

After recording this, I did 3 set, 10 breaths each set full wheel, then 3 sets 30 breaths each thunderbolt with buns touching floor, then 3 sets 30 breaths each set thunderbolt with head and buns slightly touching floor.

Wheel 10 breaths challenging not able to do 30 each set.  arms still bent.

At healthplex the instructor signed me up for FitLinxx and I did 1 set of 16 exercise stations using the Life Fitness machines.  I should have done 3 sets, but wanted to just learn the system and start later.

Still have kidney stone and drinking lots of water .....

Thursday.  Same as Wednesday warming up with SS then holding poses for 2-3 minutes, stretching and increasing flexibility.

Tuesday AM and PM led ashtanga yoga half primary class.
Wednesday at home practice worked on Advanced A from D. Swenson DVDs pausing after each pose and trying to do these challenging poses, needless to say, tired me out quickly.

Walked 1.5 laps, ran 3 laps, then stretched legs doing some yoga releasing tightened hamstrings.

We did more pranayama and meditation for 15 minutes, then Ashtanga Yoga SS-A, B, and 1/2 of the standing poses and only two poses of Primary, two of finishing poses and final savasana, taking about 45 minutes total time.
