SRHS Healthplex Open House

This morning I went to Healthplex for last weekend open house and participated in complimentary message, a spin class, and body sculpt.  All were introductory scheduled classes, but I was only one interested in participating.  Several people watched.  Now I know how to sit properly on a spin bicycle.  My heart rate did go up, but no sweat, then to the body sculpt which was with weight bar.  Sweat did not start until the final ab workout sitting on the raised step aerobics platform doing crunches, repeating boat poses with both legs and one leg, bringing knees to chest.  Then we did stretch and cool down.

Afterwards, Healthplex had fruit, cheese and garden veggies for snack, which became my lunch meal.

Monday no yoga doctor's appointment for skin treatment freezing two new spots.
Tuesday AM and PM led ashtanga yoga half primary class.
Wednesday at home practice worked on Advanced A from D. Swenson DVDs pausing after each pose and trying to do these challenging poses, needless to say, tired me out quickly.

Moss Point Riverfront Community Center

One student only today and she showed up 15 minutes late, lucky I stayed doing pranayama, then inversions.

We did more pranayama and meditation for 15 minutes, then Ashtanga Yoga SS-A, B, and 1/2 of the standing poses and only two poses of Primary, two of finishing poses and final savasana, taking about 45 minutes total time.

She is recovering from an injured wrist from a falling accident at home working in the garden, so we did not jump back much or do arm balances.

The heat was on, but concrete floor remained cold from the hard freeze and very cold rain mixed with sleet.  Clouds were dark outside, not seeing the sun.  a dreary day in Moss Point on the Riverfront.

Evening class went well starting early and completing the Half Primary Series and finishing poses.  Even with heat on the concrete floor was cold, but we did build body heat and had a good practice.
